This scarf was made in Japan by Glentex but is signed Schaparelli. This means it was probably made as a promotional item with Schaparelli fragrance products. It is 26 inches square and 100% polyester crepe. The hem is rolled.
The design is a center of black and white tiny check framed by stripes of coffee, cinnamon, ocher and white, then a wide band of brown and black check and finally a frame repeating the stripe colors.
This scarf has probably not been worn. The scarf is clean and undamaged. It dates from the 1960s or 70s.
Color check: The photo of the whole scarf is accurate. The detailed photos show yellow and there is none.
